In Waterloo, Ryan Roeder had three hits, including a third-inning double that brought home the winning run to give the Tigers a 2-1 win over the Oshawa Dodgers.

Brett Lawson (1-0) pitched the complete game, allowing just one hit - a single that led off the first inning - and one run while striking out 11 batters and walking three.

Ryan Balan (1-1) allowed a pair of runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings and Matt Tosoni allowed one hit in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Al Stevens had the lone hit for the Dodgers and scored on a ground ball in the first inning.
