Barrie Baycats 4, Hamilton Cardinals 2

In Barrie, Cory Turchan hit a two-run single in the eighth inning to help the Baycats double the Hamilton Cardinals 4-2.

Brad Bissell (3-1) worked the complete game, giving up two runs and five hits while striking out nine batters and walking one.

Nino Fussolo (1-1) surrendered two runs in one inning of relief after starter Sean Lynn allowed two runs and three hits in seven innnings.

Sean Reilly gave Hamilton an early lead with a two-run homer in the first inning.

Kitchener Panthers 9, Guelph Royals 8 (14 innings)

In Guelph, Andy Pietraszko singled home the winning run in the 14th inning to help the Kitchener Panthers to a 9-8 win over the Royals.

Bryan Bell (4-1) allowed one earned run and two hits and struck out five batters in four innings.

Craig Stroh was three-for-four with two RBI and Mark Johnston had four hits and scored three runs.

Ray Dennis (1-1) gave up four runs - two earned - and four hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Kyle Leon drove in three runs, including two with a home run that tied the game in the ninth inning.

In Waterloo, Jeff Tobin singled home the winning run in the fifth inning to lift the Oshawa Dodgers to a 6-5 win over the Tigers.

Matt Tosoni (1-2) allowed three runs and seven hits while striking out five batters in 7 2/3 innings. Jamaal Joseph gave up two runs in one inning of relief and picked up his second save.

Kyle Nicoletta (0-3) gave up five runs - three earned - and eight hits in four innings.

Ryan Crotin had a two-run double and then scored the winning run in the fifth inning.

Matt Moir had three hits and drove in a pair of runs for Waterloo.
