Intercounty Baseball League announces Rayovac Batteries All-Star Game roster

The Intercounty Baseball League today announced the all-star roster of players who will face the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Rayovac Batteries All-Star Game at Christie Pits in Toronto at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday July 2, 2003.

The Guelph Royals (15-10) lead the way with seven players selected to the all-star squad, including first baseman Trevor Churchill, who leads the team with a .380 batting average and has a league-high 13 stolen bases. Barrie Baycats infielder Jared McCord, who is leading the league with 30 hits and a .441 batting average, will start at second base.

The team was selected by manager Dean Castelli of the Hamilton Cardinals - last year's finalists - and the coaching staff - Nick Owen of the Barrie Baycats and Kevin Hinton of the Guelph Royals - from a list of players that were nominated by league managers.
