Guelph Royals 3, Toronto Maple Leafs 2

In Guelph, Jason Borghese drove in the winning run with a two-run double in the ninth inning to lift the Royals to a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Trevor Churchill had two hits and scored twice and Chris Becker added a pair of hits and drove in a run.

Brian Dikdan (5-3) worked two hitless innings of relief for the win.

John Chadwick (0-2) gave up a pair of runs and a hit in one inning.

In Brantford, Brett Gibson tossed a complete-game shutout to back the Red Sox to a 12-0 win in the opening game of a doubleheader.

Gibson (4-2) allowed four hits and struck out six batters in the win.

Ryan Balan (3-3) gave up seven runs - six earned - and eight hits in five innings for Oshawa.

Steve Charles homered and drove in two runs to help the Red Sox to an 8-4 win over the Dodgers in the second half of the doubleheader.

Stefan Strecker (5-3) gave up four runs - one unearned - and eight hits in six innings.

Adam Clarke (0-1) was tagged for eight runs and eight hits in three innings for Oshawa.

Kitchener Panthers 10, St. Thomas Storm 1

In St. Thomas, Bryan Bell homered and drive in two runs to help the Kitchener Panthers to a 10-1 win over the Storm.

Joel Scott added a solo homer for Kitchener in the win.

Chris Currie (3-1) pitched six shutout innings. He allowed one hit and struck out 11 batters in the win.

Kyle Stark (0-7) allowed 10 runs - seven earned - and 10 hits in a complete-game effort for St. Thomas.

Rick Ross drove in lone St. Thomas run with a single in the eighth inning.
