London Majors 2, Barrie Baycats 1

In Barrie, Chad McKellar singled and then scored the winning run in the sixth inning to lift the London Majors to a 2-1 win over the Baycats.

Chuck Roberts had a hit and drove in a run in the first inning for London.

Gordon Walters (1-0) pitched the complete game, giving up one unearned run and four hits while striking out seven batters and walking three.

Coogie Freedman (1-3) gave up two runs - one earned - and four hits in seven innings in the loss. Derek McDaid struck out a pair of batters in two scoreless innings of relief.
