LONDON MAJORS ANNOUNCE COACHING STAFF FOR 2004

London Majors Baseball President/Owner Scott Dart is pleased to announce his coaching staff for the 2004 season.

Ron Le Clair � Field Manager: Ron played with the Majors in 1998 and 1999 and managed the team in 2000 to the first round of the playoffs when he was unable to play due to health reasons. Then played for the Brantford Red Sox in 2001 and 2003 while managing the Red Sox the IC league final (losing to Guelph in 7 games) in 2002.

Dan �Uncle Buck� Mendham � Uncle Buck has been a fixture at Labatt Park since the 1940�s and has been with the London Majors as both a player and a coach for fifty years. He returns to coach the Majors after a 4 year absence.

Harry Muir � Harry has a long history of personal success with baseball including: pitching a no-hitter in the World Junior Championships in Cuba while playing for the Junior Canadian National Team; played and coached in the Premier League in France earning the �Top Pitcher� award; signed with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1990 where he played for 4 seasons.

Chris Mercier � Chris has seen baseball from a few different vantage points; successful as a LDBA umpire for 10 years with 5 of those years as an Intercounty Umpire; 2002 player/coach of the St. Thomas Storm; coached South London Peewee and Bantam teams; played minor baseball for South and Southwest London.

Le Clair said, �I�m thrilled to be back with the London Majors. Scott Dart has made an obvious commitment to winning, and I�m looking forward to a successful season. I�m particularly excited to see all of the talented players who have come out with the team this spring. I�m looking forward to working with such a top notch coaching staff as Uncle Buck, Harry, and Chris are very knowledgeable and are well respected by the players�.
