The Maple Leafs leap-frogged over the Royals into first place with the win and also handed the Royals their first loss of the season. Toronto starter Chris Rauth gave up just one run on two hits in six innings of work. He struck out three and walked none. Rob Patterson led the attack going three for four with a pair of RBI�s. Mike Grieve also had three hits going three for five.
For Guelph Chris Becker went two for five with a solo home run in the fourth. Ryan Armstrong took the loss, allowing eight earned runs on ten hits over five and third innings. He struck out one and walked two. The Maple Leafs improve to 5 and 1 while the Royals drop to 4 and 1.

Justin Bartokicz threw a complete-game, six-hit shutout to lead Hamilton to the win and sole possession of third place. He struck out seven and walked none as the Cardinals scored all the runs they would need in the first inning. Andy Steed led Hamilton at the plate with two hits and two RBI�s. Jeremy Walker added two hits and an RBI.
For Brantford Raul Borjas stroked three singles. Ryan Reed took the loss giving up six runs on eight hits over eight innings. He struck out six and walked three.

Storm pitchers Craig Mosher and Shawn Spellar combined on a 5-hit shutout to lead visiting
St. Thomas over Oshawa. Mosher, who left the game with a shoulder injury, gave up four hits in his four innings of work. He struck out six and walked two. Spellar allowed just one hit over the final three innings. Pete Babcock led the Storm attack with two hits and a pair of RBI�s. Jamie Gosselin went two for three and Rick Ross was two for four with and RBI.
For Oshawa Ken Calway went two for three with a double. Adam Clarke took the loss giving up three runs (only one earned) on four hits in four innings. He struck out six and walked one.
Dodgers Split Doubleheader With 5-4 Win

The Dodgers led 3-0 after three innings and held on to earn a split in the doubleheader. Kael Racioppa led the offense with two hits and an RBI while Ryan Fraser added a hit and a pair of RBI�s. Ryan Crotin chipped in with a hit and an RBI. Ryan Mellor earned the win with one inning of work. He allowed two runs (both unearned) on two hits while striking out one. Darryl Jennings shut the door with two innings of work to earn the save. He didn�t allow a hit and struck out three.
St. Thomas reliever Jeff Southcott took the loss, giving up two runs on one hit and four walks in an inning and two-thirds. All four St. Thomas runs were unearned - one came on a wild pitch, one on a balk and the other two on an error.
