Kitchener Panthers 11, Toronto Maple Leafs 10
In Kitchener, Jamie Pietraszko had four hits, including a ninth-inning single that scored Harpreet Padda to lift the Kitchener Panthers an 11-10 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Intercounty Baseball League on Thursday.
Kitchener reliever Tyler Wilson (1-0) came into the game with a four-run lead in the ninth inning, but gave up a grand slam to Steve Condotta error that tied the game immediately following a two-out error. Starter Ian Hagan gave up four runs and eight hits in five innings.
Doug Dimma (1-1) gave up a pair of runs and three hits in one inning of relief after Toronto starter Paul Spoljaric was tagged for nine runs and eight hits in 7 1/3 innings.
Mark Johnston doubled and drove in three runs for Kitchener.

The Oshawa Dodgers built up a three run lead in three innings over the Barrie Baycats before the game was called due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday June 27 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in Oshawa.
The games between the Brantford Red Sox and London Majors in London and the Guelph Royals and Stratford Storm in Stratford were also postponed due to rain. Make-up dates will be announced shortly.
