Kevin Hinton added a solo homer in the seventh inning for Guelph and junior pitcher Ryan Pranger (1-0) tossed five strong innings, giving up three runs and four hits.
Brett Lawson (3-1) allowed six runs on five hits in two innings and Mark McDonald clubbed a three-run homer in the fourth inning.
