Brantford Red Sox 5, Guelph Royals 4 (10 innings)

In Brantford, Ryan Lane singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Brantford Red Sox to a 5-4 win over the Guelph Royals in the Intercounty Baseball League on Friday.

Dane Wolfe had a pair of singles and scored a run and Omari Briscoe added two hits and drove in two runs for Brantford.

Mark Ferguson (4-0) worked one scoreless inning of relief for the win after Tony Bacci allowed three runs and four hits in six innings.

Aaron Little (3-1) took the loss in relief of Meleti Melehes, who started the game with six scoreless innings.

Jason Borghese had three hits, including a homer, and drove in two runs for Guelph.
