Guelph Royals 3, London Majors 2

In London, Kyle Leon belted a two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Guelph Royals to a 3-2 win over the London Majors in one of two games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Friday.

Leon had three hits in the win, including a triple, and Joel Lynch was three-for-four for Guelph.

Meleti Melehes (5-0) allowed two runs - one earned - and 10 hits in eight innings for the win and Aaron Little struck out two batters in one inning of relief for his fourth save of the season.

Mike Mitro (4-5) gave up three runs - two earned - and nine hits in eight innings.

Kevin MacDonald singled and drove in a run and Kris Kewley had a pair of hits and an RBI for London.

Brantford Red Sox 9, Stratford Storm 3

In Brantford, Raul Borjas scored two runs, including the game-winner on a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning to help the Brantford Red Sox to a 9-3 win over the Stratford Storm.

T.J. Shimizu had a pair of singles and scored a run and Tyler Burnell double, drove in two runs and scored twice in the win.

Brad Hogeterp (6-0) allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings. He struck out six batters and walked three in the win.

Kevin McKnight (0-3) surrendered four runs and 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Todd Bargman hit a pair of singles and scored a run and Yoel Fernandez doubled and drove in two runs for Stratford.
