London Majors 12, Toronto Maple Leafs 9
In London, Pete Babcock belted a grand slam with two out in the sixth inning to power the London Majors to a 12-9 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Intercounty Baseball League playoffs on Tuesday. London leads the series 2-0.
Babcock finished the game with four hits and four runs while Brian Blackburn hit a two-run single in the eighth inning and Kevin Virtue added a pair of singles and scored two runs in the win.
Mike Mitro (1-2) allowed an unearned run and two hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief after starter Jeremy Middleton gave up seven runs in 5 1/3 innings. Virtue picked up his second save by holding Toronto to one unearned run and one hit across two innings.
Rob Robinson (0-1) surrendered eight runs - six earned - and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Rob Butler was four-for-six and scored two runs while Rich Butler clubbed a two-run homer in the loss.

In Brantford, Kyle Leon hit a three-run homer and then a grand slam in a 12-run sixth inning that gave the Guelph Royals a 15-2 win over the Brantford Red Sox and a 2-0 lead in their semi-final playoff series.
Jamie Pogue and Sean Reilly each added solo homers in the win.
Brian Dikdan allowed one run and seven hits in six innings to push his post-season record to 3-0.
Tony Bacci (1-1) gave up five runs and six hits in 4 1/3 innings and Eric Wolfe was four-for-five and scored two runs for Brantford, who host Game 3 on Wednesday.
