Oshawa Dodgers 14, Hamilton Thunderbirds 5

In Oshawa, Darryl Reid hit a pair of singles and drove in four runs to pace the Dodgers to a 14-5 win over the Hamilton Thunderbirds in the Intercounty Baseball League on Saturday.

Sean Cunningham added three hits and Mat Wilson (1-1) allowed five runs and eight hits and struck out nine batters in six innings for the win.

Justin Wendt hit a two run homer for Hamilton.

Bill Lawrence (0-2) gave up six runs � five earned � and four hits in 1 1/3 innings for the loss.

Kitchener Panthers 5, Stratford Storm 2

In Stratford, Brian Carter belted a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lead the Kitchener Panthers to a 5-2 win over the Storm.

Luke Baker added a three-run double in the ninth inning and Brad Hay (1-0) got the win after allowing two runs and nine hits in eight innings.

Yoel Fernandez (0-1) gave up five runs � four earned � and 11 hits in a complete-game effort for Stratford.

In Guelph, Mike Alati had four hits, including a home run and drove in three runs to give the Royals a 16-3 win over the Brantford Red Sox.

David Teboekhorst also homered and Joel Lynch had a pair of hits and drove in four runs in the win.

Ian Harvey (2-1) allowed one run on five hits in six innings for Guelph.

Tom Boleska (0-1) took the loss after giving up five runs and seven hits in five innings.

In Barrie, Alex Borgo homered and drove in three runs to help the Baycats to an 11-0 win over the London Majors in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

Angus Roy (3-1) tossed a three-hit complete game shutout for the win.

Justin Farina (0-1) took the loss for London after giving up five runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Borgo added a two-run homer in the fourth inning of the second game to give the Baycats a 7-5 win.

Chris England (1-0) allowed two runs � one earned � and three hits in five innings for the win and Brad Bissell struck out the side in the seventh inning for the save.

Tom Van Kastern (0-1) took the loss after giving up six runs and 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings.
