Barrie Baycats 10, Oshawa Dodgers 2

In Barrie, Ryan Spataro tripled and scored three runs to help the Barrie Baycats to a 10-2 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in one of three games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Thursday.

Spataro also stole three bases while Jonathan Baksh tripled and drove in two runs and Jordan Lundberg added a pair of hits and scored twice for Barrie.

Brad Bissell (1-0) allowed two runs - one earned - and five hits while striking out 11 batters in seven innings. Matt Tjart and Brad Grieveson each threw a scoreless inning of relief in the win.

Mat Wilson (0-2) gave up six runs in six innings and Kevin Brown doubled in the loss for Oshawa.

Toronto Maple Leafs 26, Kitchener Panthers 9

In Kitchener, Gamin Teague was four-for-five with three home runs to power the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 26-9 win over the Kitchener Panthers.

Teague drove in six runs and Matt Logan added five hits, including a double and a pair of home runs for Toronto.

Clay Caufield (1-0) worked two perfect innings of relief for the win after starter Yole Reina allowed six runs and seven hits in four innings.

Brad Hay (0-1) was tagged for nine runs - eight earned - and 12 hits in four innings.

Luke Baker belted a three-run homer for Kitchener.

Guelph Royals 9, Stratford Storm 6

In Stratford, Sean Reilly belted a run-scoring double in the sixth inning that gave the Guelph Royals a 9-6 win over the Stratford Storm.

Kevin Hinton added a two-run homer in the eighth inning and Brian Dikdan (2-0) picked up the win after allowing one run and three hits in six innings.

Joe Laderoute (0-1) gave up seven runs - six earned - and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.

John Hanko doubled and Dallas Pearson and Mike Carswell each added a pair of hits for Stratford.
