In Toronto, the Leafs downed the Kitchener Panthers 9-7 to move into a tie for first place with the Guelph Royals in one of five Intercounty Baseball League games Sunday afternoon.
Matt Logan led the Leafs with three hits and 2 RBI�s including a double and a solo home run while Nildo Puertas had two hits and 3 RBI�s with a two-run home run in the second and Shane Ridley added two hits and an RBI.
Kevin Orlowski had three hits to lead Kitchener followed by Luke Baker, Harpreet Padda, Adam Hummel and Craig Stroh with two hits each. Baker and Padda also added two RBI�s each.
Winning pitcher Dave Steffler (4-0) went 5 2/3 innings allowing nine hits and one walk while striking out seven. Doug Dimma earned his third save by finishing up the final two innings. Losing pitcher Joel Scott (4-1) allowed all nine runs on 11 hits including two home runs, two bases on balls and seven strikeouts.

In Hamilton, Joe Thomas (1-1) shut out the Guelph Royals 2-0 on a complete game three-hitter. He allowed only three walks and struckout seven. Losing pitcher Melete Melehes (2-1) went seven innings, allowing eight hits while striking out five.
Tom Robertson had a single and double for Hamilton while Adam Strongman�s second inning single proved to score the winning run. Geoff Allen also had two hits including a fifth inning, run-scoring double.

In London, Stefan Strecker�s (2-2) complete game effort downed the Majors 7-2 before a Father�s Day crowd of 1,500. He allowed eight hits, walked only one batter and struckout four. Justin Farina (0-2) pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing all seven runs and eight hits while walking five and striking four.
Wayne Forman drove in the winning run with a single in the fourth inning while Raul Borjas had a two-run single in the sixth. Jason Trim and Jeremy Hudson each had two hits for Brantford while Brad McElroy had a solo home run for London in the first inning.

In Stratford, the Baycats completed the sweep behind the pitching of Chris England (2-1) who allowed only four runs on eight hits, one walk and six strikeouts.
Brendan Lapointe (0-1) took the loss for Stratford, giving up 11 runs on eight hits in only two innings. Nate Thompson pitched the next four innings with Brandon Patterson finishing the seventh.
Barrie used the long ball as Ryan Davis hit a three-run home run in the first followed by three-run home runs by Mike Cart and Alex Borgo. Borgo also added a single for four RBI�s on the day. Toby Legacy led Barrie with four hits and six RBI�s.
Isaac Blimke had two hits for Stratford while Chris Novia had a run scoring double and Reid Price added a run scoring triple.
The Baycats won the opener of the doubleheader behind the pitching of Jordan Neufeld and winning pitcher Cam Newitt (2-2). Neufeld allowed no runs on only two hits while striking out five in four innings before Newitt finished up, allowing five runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
Josh Elliott (0-5) went 5 2/3 innings for Stratford, allowing all 15 runs on 14 hits and five walks.
Ryan Davis and Ryan Spataro each had three hits including a home run for Barrie, Spataro with 3 RBI�s and Davis with two.
Ben Yormak and Roop Chanderdat each had a double and a single for Stratford, Yormak with two RBI�s and Chanderdat with one RBI.
