In Guelph, Kevin Hinton had three hits, including the 600th of his Intercounty Baseball League career to help the Guelph Royals double the Brantford Red Sox 14-7 on Saturday.
Hinton, whose 600th hit came on a single in the fifth inning, becomes just the third player in league history to reach the plateau. Arden Eddie is the all-time leader with 764 hits while Randy Curan is second with 611.
Mel Melehes (3-1) allowed five runs on Saturday - four earned - and 12 hits in seven innings for the win.
Brantford starter Brad Hogeterp (1-4) took the loss after allowing seven runs and nine hits in four innings.

In Oshawa, Brian Carter stroked a two-run single in the eighth inning that lifted the Kitchener Panthers to a 5-4 win over the Oshawa Dodgers.
Andy Pietraszko had three hits and Mark Schmidt and Ryan Roeder drove in runs in the win.
Brad Hay (2-1) was the winner after keeping Oshawa to four runs and 10 hits in 8 1/3 innings and Wes Koch recorded the final out for his first save.
Ben Chisolm (0-1) allowed three runs - one earned - and nine hits in six innings. Ken Calway hit a pair of doubles and drove in two runs for Oshawa.

In Barrie, Ryan Spataro hit a two run triple that sparked the Barrie Baycats to a 6-1 win over the Stratford Storm in the first game of a doubleheader.
Spataro also stole two bases and David Latour homered in the win. Chris England (3-1) allowed one run and three hits in six innings for Barrie.
James Burns (0-1) gave up four runs - three earned - and four hits before leaving the game with one out in the third inning.
Spataro tripled and scored the winning run in Barrie's 9-2 win in the second game.
Jonathan Baksh had a pair of hits, including a triple, and Cam Newitt (3-2) got the win after pitching two scoreless innings of relief.
Yoel Fernandez (0-2) took the hill with the game tied in the sixth inning and was tagged for four runs - one earned - and two hits without recording an out.
Chris Novia hit two doubles and drove in both of Stratford's runs.
