Intercounty Baseball Results - Tuesday June 29

Stratford Storm 7, London Majors 2

In London, Fielding Lewis had three hits, including a two-run tie-breaking single in the fifth inning that paced the Stratford Storm to a 7-2 win over the London Majors in one of two games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Tuesday.

Josh Braby added a pair of hits and scored two runs and Raul Rodriguez (1-0) earned the win in his debut by holding the Majors to two runs and eight hits in seven innings.

Mike Mitro (2-3) gave up seven runs - six earned - and 10 hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Kevin Virtue was two-for-four and drove in both of London's runs.

Kitchener Panthers 7, Guelph Royals 3

In Guelph, Joel Scott had two hits and drove in three runs to help the Kitchener Panthers to a 7-3 win over the Guelph Royals.

Harpreet Padda added a hit and drove in two runs and Jon Morbey (2-2) allowed three runs on four hits and seven walks in six innings to help Kitchener move into a tie with Guelph for third place in the IBL standings.

Kris Dabrowiecki (1-1) allowed seven runs and nine hits in six innings for Guelph.

Jamie Pogue belted a two-run homer in the sixth inning and Kyle Leon was two-for-two with a pair of walks.
