Intercounty Baseball Playoff Results - Friday July 30

London Majors 4, Kitchener Panthers 2

In London, Pete Babcock had three hits, including a two-run single in the eighth inning that gave the London Majors a 4-2 win over the Kitchener Panthers to tie their playoff series at one game each.

Simon Galarraga had a run-scoring double and Brian Blackburn added an RBI single in the win.

Tom VanKasteren (1-0) allowed two runs and eight hits in eight innings and Kevin Virtue retired the side in order in the ninth inning for the save.

Ben Kangas had a pair of hits for Kitchener while Adam Auer drove in a run with a single in the fifth inning and Luke Baker tripled and scored the tying run in the eighth.

Jonathan Morbey (0-1) gave up four runs and eight hits in eight innings.

Oshawa Dodgers at Brantford Red Sox
